Monique Stemper, Founder & President

After working in finance and systems for Kraft Foods and Accenture, in February of 2002 I began providing business support to an interior designer to merge my work experience with a personal passion for interior design. With my strong attention to detail, an expertise in accounting and a commitment to excellent service, I enjoy providing financial and business consulting services to designers who are serious about building a financially profitable design business.

I love traveling with my husband, visiting my two daughters, walking my two golden retrievers, playing noncompetitive pickleball and reading really good books.

Karen Crawford, Business Operations Manager

A native New Orleanian, I joined Stemper & Associates in 2017…best career move ever! I love being able to bring together my interests in client services, staff development, accounting, being hyper organized, and working with truly lovely colleagues.

S&A Specialties: Business Operations Manager for S&A, Accounting

Professional background: B.S. in Accounting, background in financial services (Standard & Poor’s Compustat, now S&P Global), enterprise resource planning (J.D. Edwards), and cable/satellite content (Starz Entertainment).

Interests: Master tinkerer, oddly eager to learn technology and everything else, and obsessed with my grands.

Alice Ley

I joined Stemper in 2022 after an accounting career in the oil and gas industry. I love helping designers better understand their financial position and working with the Stemper team.

S&A Specialty: Accounting

Professional background: M.S. in Accounting, background in auditing and the oil and gas industry in both refining (Frontier Oil Corporation, now HollyFrontier Corporation) and exploration and production (QEP Resources, now Diamondback Energy)

Interests: Traveling (been to all 50 states), tennis, my kids sports and school activities and learning to be an empty nester soon.

Bronwynn Pearce

From New Zealand & Australia, I joined Stemper & Associates in 2016. I love working with clients and colleagues, problem solving and, embarrassingly, a good Excel spreadsheet.

S&A Specialty: Accounting

Professional background: Bachelor of Business in Accounting & Chartered Accountant (ACA) , background in financial/business services (BDO Nelson Parkhill/Deloitte ) and Project/Financial/Management/Mine Accounting (Newcrest Mining).

Interests: Traveling, skiing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, hanging with family and friends.

Charity Aslin

A Colorado native, I joined Stemper & Associates in 2024 and have been thrilled to be part of such an amazing and supportive team!

S&A Specialty: Bookkeeping

Professional background: B.A. in Psychology, bookkeeper (Zoom Aerial Photography, LLC), software trainer for a start-up tech company, short-term rental property host and certified life coach.

Interests: When I’m not busy bookkeeping, you can find me planning adventures with family and friends, hitting the tennis court, or diving into the world of biohacking and podcast listening.

 

Christine Goldstein

I am native to Colorado and have never lived anywhere outside this beautiful state! I attended Colorado State University, Go RAMS!, where I obtained my B.S. in Accounting. I later attended the University of Colorado Denver and received my Masters in Accounting. I joined the Stemper & Associates team in 2021, and it has been the best decision I’ve made for my career! I love being able to combine my passion for design with my nerdy accounting brain.

S&A Specialty: Accounting

Professional background: B.S. in Accounting, Masters in Accounting, background in corporate accounting.

Interests: Shopping! I love fashion and home décor, a regular at Home Goods! I never say no to a cold margarita on a patio and I am obsessed with my fluffy labradoodle Stoney, named after our favorite Oklahoma football bar.

 

Colleen Murphy

A native of Chicago, I spent my childhood living in several cities from Tulsa to Atlanta to Salt Lake City and, finally, landing in Denver in 1979. I attended college in Omaha and Spain, and graduate school in Berkeley, CA. I joined S&A in 2017.

S&A Specialty: Bookkeeping and Expediting

Professional Background: Deloitte Consulting: specializing in software design, report building, and training for personnel in state and local entities; B.A. Sociology and Spanish; Masters of Social Welfare.

Interests: As a mom of three, I love spending time with my family, the beautiful mountains, a good book, traveling and experiencing different cultures, laughing with friends and delicious food.

Debbie Seitz

I joined Stemper & Associates in 2021, transitioning from a 25+ year career in project management and marketing, with a focus on vendor and employee relations for several large companies. I love building successful relationships and am happy to offer my project coordination and vendor management skills to the designers that Stemper supports.

S&A Specialties: Project Management, Procurement and Expediting

Professional Background: BA in Journalism/Public Relations, background in media relations & marketing (multiple healthcare systems), plus strategic planning, project management, marketing and employee/vendor relations (Charles Schwab & Co. & Anthem Healthcare).

Interests: I enjoy hiking and being outdoors in Colorado. I am also an avid reader and love learning new things.

Doreen Smith

Originally from Massachusetts, I moved to Colorado in 2009 and began with Stemper & Associates in 2018. I’ve enjoyed learning the Interior Design business and gaining knowledge and various experiences from our staff and clients.

S&A Specialties: Payroll and Accounting

Professional Background: BS in Accounting and worked primarily with Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals in all different aspects of accounting and financial reporting.

Interests: Watching sports, attending and listening to Broadway musicals, spending time with family and friends

Elizabeth Burden

I started my career in Public Accounting as a CPA which gave me a great foundation I then leveraged in the investment world. I honed my business development and customer service skills at an RIA firm. Joining Stemper & Associates in 2020 presented a unique opportunity to use these strengths for our clients.

Professional Background: B. S. in Accounting, CPA (inactive), Private Equity Real Estate Portfolio Management, and Partner at an RIA firm.

Interests: Travel, tennis, pickleball, reading and spending time with family

Elizabeth Moynihan

Originally from San Francisco, we moved to Colorado in 2002 and fell in love with the mountains. I started working at Stemper in 2021 and feel blessed to work alongside so many smart and hard-working women. I love my clients and the relationships I have built with them over the years and am always amazed at their talent!

S&A Specialties: Procurement and Expediting

Professional background: Before staying at home to raise my four children, I worked in retail at The Gap, Filenes and Crate & Barrel and then in education at The San Francisco Day School.

Interests: Gardening, skiing, hiking and painting and re-arranging rooms in my house (that may or may not need it…)

Gaytral Ackerman

I joined Stemper & Associates in 2019. Originally from Texas, my family moved to Colorado in 1997, and we have thoroughly taken advantage of all that the Colorado outdoors has to offer!

S&A Specialty: Accounting

Professional background: BS in Management Information Systems and worked primarily in technology before joining Stemper. Throughout college, I worked in the accounting field. I joined a computer consulting company (CIBER, Inc.) once we moved to Colorado, prior to raising a family.

Interests: I love to ski, hike, camp, travel, read, play pickleball, and spend time with our dog, Archie (and family, of course!).

Gina Mueller

I joined Stemper & Associates in 2021, bringing a strong background in business development and customer service to deliver professional and personalized service to my clients. I thrive on collaboration, working closely with clients to become an integral part of their design firm. I enjoy managing all aspects of client accounts, from the initial design concept proposal phase to final project invoicing, ensuring a seamless experience throughout.

S&A Specialty: Procurement, Expediting and Bookkeeping.

Professional background: With a BA in Communications and experience in sales and business development within the commercial real estate and medical sales industries, I blend expertise with a client-focused approach.

Interests: Outside of work, I prioritize a healthy work-life balance and cherish time with my family—my husband, daughter, and our dog Coco. I love experimenting with new recipes, baking, watching our daughter play volleyball, and traveling to beautiful beaches.

Heather Nemechek

I have been with Stemper & Associates since 2017 as an Expeditor. I really enjoy my job and the great team I work with!

S&A Specialty: Expediting

Professional background: Before staying at home to raise 3 kids, I was in the finance industry.

Interests: I enjoy the beautiful Colorado Mountains, Avalanche Hockey and hanging with my family.

Julie Sanders

Originally from the Midwest, Colorado has been my home for almost 30 years. I joined Stemper & Associates in 2022, quickly realizing it was a perfect fit. I love this job which affords me the chance to work with interesting clients and the most intelligent, supportive associates!

S&A Specialty: Accounting

Professional background: B.S. Accounting from Miami of Ohio, background in audit (KPMG) and accounting & financial reporting (Luzenac America, First American State Bank).

Interests: Anything active! I enjoy hiking, skiing, tennis, sailing, gardening and yoga.

Karin Gallo

I joined Stemper & Associates in 2022 after a career in commercial construction project management and working for the American Embassies in Cairo, Egypt and Nairobi, Kenya. A fifth generation Coloradoan, I now live in Atlanta, Georgia, but am plotting a move back to Colorado.

Professional background: B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University.

Interests: Hiking with my husband and our dogs, traveling, baseball and visiting our adult children.

Kelly Fallin

I am a proud member of the Stemper & Associates team as of 2024! I am looking forward to using my organizational and communication skills to assist our fabulous clients and help their businesses thrive.

Professional background: B.S. in Marketing from the University of Colorado, Event Planning, Development and Communication experience for Aimco/AIR, Bags of Fun, RMCA and Kroenke Sports Enterprises.

Interests: I’m a mom of 2 incredible (almost grown) children and love tennis, golf, skiing, spin, travel and spending lots of quality time with my large Colorado family. GO Buffs!

Kerry Franklin

I joined Stemper & Associates in 2017 and have loved learning the business of interior design. I work with the absolute best colleagues, and I truly enjoy providing this unique service to our clients.

S&A Specialty: Sales Tax Specialist

Professional background: BA in Accounting from Colorado State University. Was in public accounting (KPMG) for 8 years with roles in auditing and marketing.

Interests: I’m currently heavily focused on my crazy blended Brady Bunch family (for real – my husband’s name is Brady). We stay busy going to my high-school-aged sons’ baseball games (over 150 games between them in the past year alone) and visiting my two stepdaughters in college (Boston University and Indiana University).

Priscilla Przybyslawski

I joined Stemper & Associates in 2020. I enjoy working with Design Industry professionals to assist in the creation and management of design projects including item creation, pricing, proposals, procurement and order expediting.

S&A Specialties: Procurement and Expediting

Professional background: Bachelor of Science in Business from California Polytechnic University. I worked for 10+ years in hotel and convention sales and event management, coordinating meetings and conventions for national and state organizations and handling corporate and key accounts. Also, for over 20 years, I’ve been a Gift Sales Representative for an international wholesale gift manufacturer, working with key accounts, corporations and sales groups, and assisting in new product line development.

Interests: I love to travel and spend time at the beach!

Ronda Kennedy

I was born and raised in Kansas City and attended the University of Kansas. I began this exciting journey at Stemper & Associates in 2021 and I’m thrilled to be part of such an amazing and inspiring group of colleagues.

S&A Specialties: Procurement and Expediting

Professional background: B.S. in Communications from the University of Kansas. After graduation, I worked in the Public Relations Department for the Kansas City Chiefs. I moved to Chicago and spent many years working at Leo Burnett, Campbell Mithun Esty and Bayer Bess Vanderwarker as Director of Project Management in the Creative Departments.

Interests: I am a busy mom of 2 very active teenage daughters. When not in the office, I travel and spend time with friends and family.

Stacie Sarsfield

I have been with Stemper & Associates since 2016. I am so grateful for the amazing group of women and our supportive environment. The best part, though, is the collaboration with all of our amazing and talented designers.

S&A Specialty: Accounting, Inventory Management, Procurement and Expediting

Professional background: Engineering degree from Vanderbilt. I spent the majority of my career working in post sales training and support for medical device companies.

Interests: I love to play golf, read, eat and cook tasty food, but nothing beats traveling with my husband and two kids.

Stacy MacLean

A 6th generation native of Colorado, I joined Stemper & Associates in 2017. I enjoy this opportunity to combine my diverse background in business and technology with my project management and organizational skills to provide a high level of service to our clients in their dynamic environments.

S&A Specialties: Project Management and Accounting

Professional background: B.S. in Business with a concentration in Computer Information Systems, background in enterprise resource planning software implementations, upgrades and project management (Lawson Software, now Infor), independent technology consultant for small businesses, online assessment coordinator and IT support for Cherry Creek Schools and kids consignment small business owner.

Interests: Traveling with friends and family, seeing my two daughters run and play lacrosse in college, fantasy football, hiking with my dogs, paddle boarding and anything outdoors!

Susan Montag

I have lived in Colorado my entire life. I joined Stemper & Associates in 2015 and enjoy being able to help designers manage their projects so they can focus on creating beautiful designs.

Professional background: B.S. in Journalism and Anthropology with a background in Bookkeeping and Business Operations in the software development and public accounting industries.

Interests: Pilates, travel, and spending time outside exploring the Colorado mountains.

Teresa Sapyta

An Oklahoma transplant that calls Colorado home since 1998, I joined Stemper & Associates in 2020.

S&A Specialties: Accounting, Sales Tax

Professional background: B.S. in Accounting, background in financial product sales (American Express) Accounting (PepsiCo International) and Asset based lending auditor (Signal capital).

Interests: Decorating and furniture rearranging. Hiking/biking around Colorado with my family and burying my head in a good novel any chance I get.

Valerie Fuller

I grew up in the Denver area and joined Stemper & Associates in 2003. I initially traveled to many local designers’ offices until the world became remote friendly. I love my job and working with interior designers and their vendors.

Professional background: Bachelor of Science in Business and a minor in Spanish from Colorado State University. Prior to working for Stemper & Associates, I worked for Intermountain Veterinary Supply in accounts receivable, payables and eventually as an Administrative Assistant. I also worked for a specialty housewares and décor boutique doing general bookkeeping.

Interests: Music, miscellaneous craft projects, any home “fix-it” projects, travel, and family.
